Climate Smart Community - Woodbury
Climate Smart Communities (CSC) is a New York State program that helps local governments take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Woodbury Climate Smart Community Task Force is to become a New York State Certified Climate Smart Community by:
1. Developing and implementing a public education strategy on reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) as part of preventing further climate change.2. Engaging with our neighbors to build a community that is informed and actively working to combat climate change.3. Inspiring our community members to use their unique interests and passions to contribute to building a climate smart community; and4. Taking action to meet each of the goals outlined in the Climate Smart Communities Certification Action Checklist.
